AMBITION Advisory Board

Lani Matsumura earned her M.A. in Education and Multiple Subject teaching credential at Stanford University. She is a published STEM education researcher and is working toward her M.Ed in Instructional Design. Lani specializes in designing and adapting curriculum aligned to social emotional learning (SEL) competencies and K-12 standards, making it engaging and accessible to all types of learners. She was awarded LifeChanger of the Year in 2020-2021 for her work in education, and now serves as a founding teacher and SEL Facilitator at her school district’s newest elementary school in San Jose.
