Elisabeth Hinckley is a highly credentialed and accomplished independent consultant and university instructor with a proven track record in areas of public relations, social media outreach, communications, and content marketing.
Elisabeth currently serves as a marketing instructor at Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) where she also oversees digital marketing for the FIDM Museum & Galleries and Museum Shop, FIDM Scholarship Foundation, and the FIDM Store and Cafe. She has created curriculum for the Merchandise Marketing and Visual Merchandising majors. During her tenure, she has twice been elected Outstanding Faculty Member by graduating Merchandise Marketing majors.
Elisabeth is also a long-term consultant with a proven track record in areas of publicity, content marketing, and social media services, and she has helped numerous start-ups create, execute and manage strategic marketing plans. Clients include: jewelry brands Dogeared, Baroni and Holly Riddel Designs, Young Writer’s Conference, The Jester & Pharley Phund, medi-spa ZO Skin Centre by Zein Obagi, MD, fragrance brand 0.2, HappyLuxe travel accessories, apparel brand Spitfire Petites and Hark+Hammer, among others.
Elisabeth began her career at SuperStock, an international visual content agency, where she rose to the position of Vice President of Marketing. With an art history degree from NYU, she began her tenure by establishing a Fine Art Library and negotiated licensing agreements with such notable institutions as The Huntington Library, Barnes Foundation, London’s National Portrait Gallery, the Bridgeman Art Library, The Newberry Library, and Christies, along with a number of contemporary artists and galleries.
During the dot.com boom, Elisabeth worked for several technology startups where she gained cutting edge experience in push and pull digital marketing and electronic content and applications, including CRM, SEO, and database marketing.
