Dawn is a veteran senior Business and Legal Affairs Executive and Consultant in the entertainment industry. Her vast expertise and entrepreneurial background enable her to bring a unique and pragmatic approach to deal-making and problem solving and to devise creative and innovative solutions to accomplish her client’s business objectives. Dawn’s practice focuses on the new media and television industries, with an emphasis on content-based websites and reality TV/internet programming for both the traditional American market and the burgeoning Latino market. Most recently, she has been advising numerous of her clients as they explore new business opportunities in the burgeoning cannabis industry.

Dawn’s client list includes both corporations and individuals in the television (scripted and reality), feature film, internet and new media industries. More specifically, these clients include producers and production companies, on-screen talent, corporate executives, various internet and traditional startup companies, game developers, web site operators a Latino multi-channel network, BBC Worldwide Productions, MundoFox Broadcasting, National Geographic Partners, Fox Television Stations, etc.  Dawn’s ability to converse in Spanish has allowed her to expand her client list to include individuals and companies in the Latino marketplace.

Dawn’s services include working closely with her clients to develop and implement key business strategies, including the monetization of content and the maximization of revenue throughout all revenue streams; negotiating and drafting TV and internet development/production related agreements, content license/acquisition agreements, software and application licenses (from both the licensee and licensor perspective), NDAs, website privacy policies and terms of use agreements (including e-commerce related payment terms, etc.); reviewing websites for DMCA and COPPA compliance; advising on day-to-day operating issues and functioning as the liaison between clients and their outside counsel on an as-needed basis. Dawn also provides outside General Counsel and Business Affairs services for many of her clients.

Prior to starting her own practice, Dawn was a senior executive at Fox Interactive Media (Myspace), Vin di Bona Productions, Carsey-Werner and New World, among others.

Dawn is an active supporter of the American Cancer Society and proudly served as a member of the Executive Committee for the American Cancer Society’s 2013 Cal Spirit 29 gala fundraising event and also as the Co-Chair of the Auction Committee.She is currently a student mentor for Ambition, a non-profit entrepreneurial program for underprivileged youth.
